In the past I have usually taken a lot of joy in creating some fun Halloween costumes. After a couple of very busy weeks I finally started really getting the costumes on the 29th. Well it ended up working out just fine. The girls were happy to repeat last year’s costumes and they still fit (bonus). Daniel was Harry Potter, Spencer was the ever popular vampire, and Jared was a jedi. I was also glad I didn’t put much into the costumes after we pretty much got rained out. It is interesting to trick-or-treat here. Our neighborhood is one of a few where you can actually go door to door. If you want to participate you decorate your front step if not you don’t. it was fun to reminisce about sorting through all the candy and trading my tootsie rolls with my little brother’s snickers bars. My boys were in the middle of sorting their stash when I told them it was time for bed. They had made a pile just for me. I thought I would include a picture of some of the treat left for me.

Yummy! That is cool that the kids can still trick or treat over there! I am sure that they enjoy the tradition, even if it is not as big as in the US. Cute costumes, you know kids don't care anyway, they just like the candy!
Wow! Why did they give you all of the good stuff? You probably traded your tootsie rolls for those didn't you? Do a lot of people participate and decorate?
