Almost exactly four years ago I found out I was going to have twins. That didn't scare me as much as finding out it was two GIRLS!! After three boys, I thought I had things figured out. Would I be able to handle all the crying, fighting, screaming and attitude, not to mention what the girls would do. I'm just as terrified today as I was four years ago.
I got a sneak peak yesterday of the next 14 years. We just got home from ballet class. I sent the girls upstairs to change out of their tutus. After a few minutes of screaming I decided to go and calm things down. The girls were playing tug-of-war with a pair of princess underwear. Actually Leslie (with no pants on) was sitting on Emma. After asking who had them first they both actually agreed that Emma got them out of the drawer. (99.99999% of the time it is "I had it first!!" in stereo.) Emma had her triumphant grin on while Leslie continued to cry. After about five minutes Leslie settled down, looked at me and said, "Mom, you ruined my whole life." I was sure I must have missed something so I asked her to repeat. No, I hadn't missed anything. I was sure I had at least ten years to go before I was going to hear that line. Well at least five. Colin got home from work about three hours later and the first thing she said was, you guessed it, "Mom ruined my life."

Ha! That's why we had a bunch of boys.
So dang funny! I laughed out loud when I read that. I guess that is a preview of times to come, or maybe they are getting it all out early!
Wow!! All of the things that Steve and I have to look forward to.
